Affiliate relationships never determine what gets recommended. A hotel doesn't get listed, or get a better badge, because it pays a higher commission. If a place doesn't meet our bar, it isn't recommended, regardless of the commission on offer.

Every hotel on this site carries a badge, Personally Visited or Researched Pick, explained in full on our About page. That badge reflects our actual process, not a marketing label.

Where we've included a "Book Direct" link alongside affiliate links, that link earns us nothing. We include it because booking direct is sometimes genuinely the better option for you, and we'd rather tell you that than not.
