The seven islands sunset trip
An afternoon and evening version of the island circuit, ending with dinner on a beach and a swim after dark to look for plankton.

What we checked, 18 September 2026
Read on its own Klook page on 18 September 2026: 4.5 out of 5 from 979 reviews, which is exactly 9.0 on our ten-point scale and exactly our bar rather than comfortably above it. That is stated plainly here rather than rounded up. The park fee comes from the department's own table. We have not done this trip.
Verified via. The islands are inside the general zone of Hat Noppharat Thara - Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, priced by the Department of National Parks at 200 baht for a foreign adult and 100 for a child. The operator below was read off its own Klook listing page on 18 September 2026.

The seven islands trip leaves Ao Nang in the early afternoon and covers much the same water as the four islands day, with more stops and fewer boats at each of them, then stops for a buffet dinner on a beach and a swim after dark.
It sits exactly on our bar. 4.5 out of 5 from 979 reviews is 9.0 on our scale, which is our published minimum for a tour. It clears, and it clears by nothing at all, on a sample deep enough to take seriously.
The plankton, honestly. Bioluminescent plankton is the headline and it is a natural phenomenon, not a scheduled event. It depends on the water, the moon and the season, and no operator can promise it. Treat it as a possible bonus on a trip that is worth doing for the light on the karsts at sunset, and you will not be disappointed by a dark swim.
The park fee still applies. These islands are in the general zone of Hat Noppharat Thara - Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, so 200 baht for a foreign adult and 100 for a child on the department’s published table. Evening trips are not exempt.
What we have not done. Been on it. The sunset here is other people’s.
Best for
The same islands as the day trip with a fraction of the boats, and a sunset thrown in
Skip if
You need a guaranteed spectacle. The bioluminescence depends on conditions nobody controls
