Nine of the eleven clear our bar of 9.0 out of 10 and 50 reviews, which makes this an unusually easy trip to buy well. Damnoen Saduak is a canal market in Ratchaburi province, about 63km west-south-west of Bangkok, where vendors sell fruit, noodles and souvenirs from paddle boats along a narrow khlong. It is almost always sold with the Maeklong railway market, where stallholders fold their awnings back as a train comes through the middle of the market, and the two fit into one long morning.
The unusual part of this listing is how many operators clear the bar. Nine of the eleven scored trips do. That is the opposite of the Ang Thong problem on Koh Samui, where only one operator in four made it. With that much choice, the pick-up point and the price matter more than the rating, and we have listed three with deep samples rather than pretending one of them is uniquely good.

Timing is the whole trip. OpenStreetMap records the market as running 07:00 to 12:00, and the tours leave Bangkok between six and seven in the morning for exactly that reason. A late start buys you a market winding down and the same canal with fewer boats on it. If a listing offers an afternoon departure, read it carefully.
What to expect, without the brochure. This is a market that has been on the tour circuit since the 1970s and is priced accordingly, and the boat ride along the khlong is generally an extra paid at the pier rather than part of the tour. Go for the spectacle, which is real, and do your fruit shopping in Bangkok.
