Confirmed on Booking.com (9.4 from 1,015 reviews) and Agoda (9.3 from 2,772 reviews), checked 17 September 2026. Agoda's listing name is 'POR Arak - No parking'. Booking.com shows an official three-star rating. Booking places it in Si Phum, and its coordinates sit just inside the western moat. Sub-scores and facilities read from the Booking.com property page. We have not stayed here.
The review base is deep: 9.4 from 1,015 on Booking.com and 9.3 from 2,772 on Agoda. Nearly 3,800 reviews, and the two platforms a tenth of a point apart.
Most of the scorecard is excellent. Staff 9.8, cleanliness, comfort and value for money all 9.6, facilities 9.5, and Booking.com lists an outdoor pool. At around ฿2,102 a night it is the cheapest of our Old City picks, roughly a tenth of what The Inside House costs.
Two numbers pull the other way. Wifi scores 8.5, the weakest in the Old City and second-weakest of everything we list in Chiang Mai. Location scores 9.2, also the lowest of our Old City picks, though it is still inside the walls, just against the western moat rather than near the centre.
One practical detail: Agoda’s listing is titled “POR Arak - No parking”. If you are hiring a scooter or a car, sort out where it will live before you book.
