Confirmed on Booking.com (9.3 from 289 reviews) and Agoda (9.2 from 796 reviews), checked 15-17 September 2026. Agoda lists it as Skye Beach Hotel under a different slug; matched by the street address, which is identical on both. Booking.com places it in Choeng Mon Beach. Sub-scores and facilities read from the Booking.com property page. We have not stayed here.
Staff, cleanliness and comfort all score 9.7. Both platforms land within a tenth of each other, 9.3 and 9.2, from over 1,000 reviews combined.
The catch is location at 8.3, and the coordinates explain it. Booking.com files Skye Beach under Choeng Mon, but it sits at Plai Laem, under half a kilometre from Wat Plai Laem and roughly 1.7km west of Choeng Mon Beach itself. It is on a beach, just not the one most people mean when they say Choeng Mon, and guests mark it down for how far it is from the restaurants there.
That position has an upside if you know what you are getting. You are close to Wat Plai Laem and the Big Buddha, and a short drive from the airport, which makes it a good first or last night on the island.
At around ฿5,675 a night it is a small, well run beachfront hotel rather than a resort: one pool, no spa or gym listed. Value for money at 9.0 says guests think the price is fair for what it is.
