At around ฿1,334 a night this is the cheapest thing we list on Koh Tao, and it has a pool. On most Thai islands those two facts do not come together.
The scores back the price up rather than excusing it. Staff 9.9, value for money 9.5, location 9.3, and nothing on the board below 9.0. Over 1,600 reviews across the two platforms, so this is not a small sample getting lucky.
Location is worth a second look. MAR24 sits in the Chalok Baan Kao village and guests score it 9.3, ahead of View Point Resort’s 8.9 in the same bay. Being in the village rather than on the headland means food and dive shops are a short walk.
What you do not get is a beach outside the door or a restaurant on site. It is a small, well run hotel with a pool, a tour desk and a shuttle. For a dive trip, where you are out on a boat most mornings anyway, that is often exactly the right amount of hotel.
